Puppy Training

Puppy training is intended for puppies eight weeks and older. I can guide and teach you about socializing your new puppy. We will also discuss important topics like crate training, housebreaking, mouthing, jumping, and more. I will show you items such as the latest intelligent toys on the market or games that sharpen your dog's attention and stimulate her mentally. Puppyhood is the perfect time to introduce simple obedience command.

Basic Training

Basic training is the starting point for adult dogs five months and older. The first portion of the basic training will focus on teaching the most basic commands: sit, down, stay, watch me. I will introduce you to exercises that will help you practice heeling and recalling your dog. Also we will work on some social skills like meeting other dogs and accepting grooming and handling from strangers (like a vet or the groomer).

Intermediate Training

Intermediate training will sharpen the skills your dog has already learned by adding distance, duration, and distractions to the exercises. We will work on a more formal heeling with automatic sits. Recall work will be done with long leads or off leash while adding a finish.

Advanced Training

Advanced training is intended for people interested in having their dogs enter novice obedience or take the Canine Good Citizen test. This training will focus on formal ring exercises like stand for exam, heeling, and recall. At this point we will practice the remaining CGC test items you haven’t seen yet. We will spend time preparing you for the administration of the test. This training is a very rewarding venture for you and your dog.
